Guardian Angel
By Chelsea Nolan (cousin)

I once knew an angel
She didn’t even need wings.
She shined like a star,
Her heart was so kind it sings.
She now has a halo,
Her very own wings,
Even though we miss her,
She always will be here,
Being our guardian angel,
She always will be near,
No matter what we do,
No matter what we say,
We’re all so very sad,
We’re just all in dismay.
We’ll see you again, Alexandria Dear,
We’ll see her again, don’t you fear,
We’ll see her in heaven, we’ll all have wings,
We’ll fly around and do joyous things,
This angel, Alexandria, is watching over us,
Don’t you worry, we’ll tell everyone
about your diplidocus.
(Alexandria, did I say that right?)

February 11, 2000 - Alexandria went to McD's with daddy today and played with two girls all by herself. She then went up to the farm with Grama Janice and rode the new pony.

February 20, 2000 - I said "Hey you guys" and Alexandria replied back "I'm a girl!"

Alexandria, like most little girls really loved sweets. I remember buying her frosted sprinked donuts, just to watch her eat the frosting off her fingers!

When we were staying in Wisconsin, visiting Grandma and Grandpa, Chelsea and I were wrestling on the bed and floor of the hotel room. Alexandria giggled and watched us, making Chelsea and I realize that she needed the wonderful experience of 'sisterly bonding'. So we grabbed her and she became a part of the wrestling match. We laughed so much that day, it will always bring a smile to my face.

On my fifth birthday, she gave me a beautiful painted box. I love it and I still use it. She was very thoughtful, unique in very many ways. She loved nature; insects, flowers and cats. Her favorite colors were red, green and blue. She was a good friend.

She was funny, nice and practically never frowned. She was artistic. I remember going to Kalahari with her and we had fun at the arcade. We painted animals and went down the waterslide at least twenty times.

She helped me with word when I needed help. She had a kind heart. She had interesting stuffed animals. One time I was at her house and there were a few animals we didn't know, so we looked them up on the computer to find out what they were. One was a lizard that looked like a snake!

She was a nice person, always on schedule, organized, helpful and always smiled. I liked her because it was fun to make her laugh and hear her laugh.

This one time I was over Alexandria's with Sabrina and we made up a reading club. We would talk about things like what we could do to help the world and we wanted to raise money. After our meeting, we played in the back yard in the leaves and tried to catch fuzzies. Mrs. Bennett took pictures of the three of us laying on the ground together (good times!) :) :) :)

When me and Serena went to Alexandria's house we played the hide N seek pillow game. Alexandria won.
